Sugar by name and its characteristics conforms to Council Directive 2001/111/EC relating to certain sugars intended for human consumption.   
Sugar is 100% produced from sugar beets and raw material conforms to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC.   
Sugar conforms to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 of 19 December 2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs.   
Food additives are used in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of 16 December 2008 on food additives.
